Mrs. Elia 6-9 South Our students have been working extremely hard, and we have established a great work cycle in our room. Our first-year students will be working on the concept of time in math and will begin to learn about the Animal Kingdom in Zoology and Canada in Geography. Our second-year students will also review the concept of time and Canada in Geography. In Math, they will continue to learn more about angles and making change with money. Our third-year students are immersed in our History unit study of The Early Settlers. They are embracing the role of a child from that time and imagining what life was like back then through writing a diary. They will continue their literature study with Great Books. In Zoology they will work on their animal research projects. While the weather has been wonderful for October, please ensure that your child has a jacket, warm hat and mittens to keep in their locker as the weather gets colder. We are really looking forward to meeting with you at the parent-teacher conferences.
