Mrs. Lubin & Mrs. Elia 6-9 South December is such a busy month, but we’re used to a busy classroom. We’ve been working diligently to complete some amazing research projects on the Solar System and Early Settlers. All of our students will be discovering the beauty of Language through our upcoming unit on Poetry. We look forward to sharing it with each other in the classroom. Our first-year students will be learning about Pine trees and the 5 classes of vertebrates during our Culture studies. In math, we’re moving on to fractions and continued work with our calendars. Our Second Year students will continue their work with fractions and angles in math. They will also be working with calendars in our History area, as they learn about the etymology of each month. Our Third Year children will continue their study of literature through the amazing work they are doing with Great Books. In Zoology, they will look at the internal functions of the vertebrates and compare/contrast the characteristics of each. Our trip to see The Little Mermaid is on Dec. 8th. Please find details in your child’s agenda as the date approaches. We are happily preparing for our holiday concert and look forward to a well-deserved break. Have a safe and happy holiday season. We’ll see you in 2018!
