Mrs. Nagy We, in Pod I, have settled into another new school year. The children are busy working on new lessons, practicing new routines and getting to know each other. Our graduates have been very welcoming and have helped younger children with shoes, tissues, and snack. Many of them invite the new children to do small group activities such as the Mystery Bag and geometric solids. We are so proud of our graduates! It is now officially Fall and the beauty of the season continues to unfold around us. We are thankful for nature’s bounty, our families, and our supportive school community. In October we will be focusing on thankfulness. We will be having many discussions on being grateful for what we have, what is important to each of us, and how we show our appreciation for these things. Each of us is unique, has gifts we bring to this world, and has something important to contribute. On the morning of Thursday, October 26, 2017 we are going to visit Puddicombe Farms in Beamsville. All parents are welcome to join us. We ask that three-year-old children have a parent in attendance. More information will follow at a later date. Tuesday, October 31 is our Halloween celebration. Casa children come dressed in black and orange- no costumes please. There will be special Halloween crafts and activities for everyone to enjoy. Please do not send any treats to share, as we have severely allergic children in our class and we cannot hand out any food items. On a more practical note, please remember to keep seasonally appropriate clothing in your child’s extra clothes bag. Our school is closed for Thanksgiving on Friday, Oct 6 and Monday, October 9. Thursday, October 5 is a grub day. Children may wear regular clothes to school. We look forward to speaking to parents on Thursday November 2 during Parent-Teacher Interview day.
