Mr. Hamilton Upper Elementary CROSS-COUNTRY RUNNING On October 12th over sixty of our Grade 3-8 runners competed in the run at Wheatley. Grade 3-4’s ran 1.2 km., Grade 5-6’s ran 1.6 km. and Grade 7-8’s ran 2.0 km. We had a great result finishing first as a team. Thank you to all our participants who trained so hard and encouraged each other so much. Thank you also to all the teachers who helped organize and supervise the meet. Grade 7-8 CO-EDUCATIONAL SOCCER In our three exhibition games at Beacon, prior to the soccer tournament at NCC in Fort Erie, our team struggled a little, losing all three games. However, at the tournament, we had learned from our mistakes and put up a tenacious defence which enabled us to reach the championship game. We played our hearts out but lost in the last five minutes to a very strong Beacon team. Once again, thanks to all our players who worked so hard and so well together. GRADE 5-6 CO-EDUCATIONAL SOCCER TEAM Our Grade 5-6 soccer team was delightful to watch as they played in two spirited games. What they lacked in positional play and experience, they made up for in exuberance and energy. They won both their games convincingly. Great job everybody!
