Mr. Hamilton Our Wheatley basketball players had an extremely successful basketball season. Despite losing their first pre-tournament game, the Grade 7/8 boys developed as a team quickly over the next few weeks. On February 5th the boys entered the NCC tournament and went on to win all five of their games to capture the championship in convincing fashion. Our Grade 7/8 girls stole a page out of the boys’ book, starting slowly but coming together beautifully as a team in the February 12th tournament to capture the championship, playing some talented, stubborn opponents. Not to be outdone our Grade 5/6 boys’ and girls’ teams were undefeated in their home and home series with Calvary, despite a huge size differential. Congratulations to all our teams on a tremendous basketball season!
