Busy May! April was a memorable month for all students. The Lower Elementary Science Fair, our Casa’s Kiwanis Festival success, projects for Earth Day Celebrations, such as the Green Club’s Earth Day poster contest, and in particular the Spring Musical, gave all our students experiences that not only brought us closer as a community but also created lasting memories. Our Spring Musical, Peter Pan Jr., was the highlight. Staging a musical production is such an incredible undertaking, but the sheer determination by the cast and teachers made this production truly memorable. Congratulations to all our talented students for their fantastic performance and to all the staff for working so hard to make this production such a success. Kudos goes out to Parent Guild for sponsoring Carousel Players performing Hare & Tortoise for our Casa and Lower Elementary students in our school gym. The children thoroughly enjoyed the performance. May has quietly arrived reminding us that the end of the school year is only 7 weeks away, but it will not be a quiet one. The Cross Country Meet and Track & Field Meets will challenge our students on the sports field. The Art Show will showcase our students’ artistic talents and love and joy will fill our halls as our students welcome their grandparents on Grandparents’ Day. Please read the newsletter and regularly check the online calendar in order to stay informed. Mother’s Day celebrations will take place in many classrooms this month. I would like to extend my best wishes to all the Wheatley Moms. You are very appreciated at Wheatley. Happy Mother’s Day!
