by Mrs. Bell Toddler Now that the cold weather is upon us please be sure to send your child with appropriate clothing and footwear for outside including snow pants, hat, mittens, winter boots and a winter coat as we do go outside every day. December This month, we will be talking about “Holidays and Celebrations”. We are discussing what the holidays mean to us and our families. We will be singing songs and learning rhymes about holiday-related topics. Everyone is very excited about spending time with their families this holiday season- there have been lots of discussions already about the various adventures to be had! We will once again be doing the “12 days of holiday baking” as it is always a hit with the toddlers (and the parents who get to eat the fruits of their labor). We will be putting winter-themed shapes with names of baking ingredients needed on our door. If there is something posted that you would like to donate please take the shape home with you and bring the ingredient back to school. January In January we will be examining modes of transportation that help us to move from one place to another. Look forward to hearing songs, stories and finger plays related to modes of transportation from your child. We trust you will all have a wonderful holiday with your family and friends and we look forward to seeing you in January!
