Mrs. Kovacs We enjoyed a wonderful January exploring Canadian traditions and special facts about our country! Now as February approaches we look forward to exploring "animals in the winter". We will discuss and research what animals do during the winter. Where do they live? What do they eat during the winter? And, many more questions. On February 2nd our full days will begin skating. This will continue for two Fridays (2nd and the 9th). If three year old full days wish to attend, a parent or guardian must attend with them. On Wednesday February 14th we will be celebrating Valentine's Day in Pod Two. Each student is invited to wear something festive including the colours pink, red or white. We will be exchanging Valentine cards with each other. In order to foster independence we ask that each Valentine be left unaddressed and instead to simply write: To: My Friend Love: (sender’s name). Thank you for supporting this. Just a reminder, that NO FOOD is allowed to be handed out with Valentines. We have several anaphylactic allergies, intolerances, in our school. This ensures that everyone is safe and respected. Looking forward to March we remember that it is a short but busy month. We will continue to explore animals and their behaviours. There will be early dismissal on Friday March 9th at 2:30, with no available extended hours that day. We wish everyone a safe and fun March Break. We will see everyone’s smiling faces here on Monday March 26th. We will keep our fingers crossed for Spring!
