By Emily Waters We have had a fabulous start to 2018 in Pod One! The students have settled back into their routines and are enjoying each day of the second term. The Graduates have all completed their Canada projects and have been inspired to continue more project work on many diverse topics of their choice. In February and March we will continue our literacy study of Peter and the Wolf and recreate the story using puppets. We will also introduce the Winter Olympic Games into our classroom with a focus on the many different sports, athletes, countries and medal counts. The students in Pod One can participate in Valentine’s Day by wearing red, white and pink to school. If your child chooses to bring in Valentine’s cards to hand out to friends, please be sure to send a card for everyone in the class. Please do not address cards individually as reading the names can be difficult for your child to deliver their cards. We are looking forward to seeing all of you for Casa Come and See Day on February 23. The students are excited to show you what they can do with all of the materials. A sign up sheet will be posted outside of the classroom. On March 9, students will be dismissed at 2:30pm for March Break. We wish all of you a safe and fun break! Please read the Newsletter and check our online calendar for more information.
