Mrs. A.Kovacs Could it be true? Has Spring arrived? We are very excited to be back from March Break and to get back to work. In Pod Two we are noticing all the signs of Spring around us. Our class time discussions include topics such as Spring weather, animal behaviours and changes in Plants. We will start to plant more in our own class and the children will have the opportunity to measure leaves and observe daily growth. We look forward to incorporating some nature walks into our curriculum lessons! Earth Day will be celebrated in Pod Two. In fact, much of April will be spent discussing they ways we can take care of our earth. We look forward to creating lovely art from recycled/reused materials. In April our graduates will be participating in the Kiwanis Choral Speaking Festival. This is a long standing Wheatley tradition and a rite of passage for our graduates. They have been practicing their poem regularly and are looking forward to their performance. Parents of the graduates are welcome to attend the festival. More details will follow regarding date, time etc. As the weather changes, please remember to update your child’s clothing bag and ensure that he/she has extra underwear and socks as well. Thank you. As always, Ms. Verge and I encourage all parents to speak to us regarding any questions you may have or to pick up any Montessori articles or information about the Casa program. Thank you and have a lovely start to the Spring!
